So Long 2008 I won't miss most of you (but there are a few good months tucked in there)

Well I was able to turn 2008 around in the nick of time! Lets see if I can do the same for 2009 (even though as pointed out by Emma it is an odd year (therefore being not as good as the even ones)). Apparently Bill Gates playing guitar awkwardly is one of the first hits on google images for 2008.

PEANUT BUTTER CRISIS WREAKS HAVOCK ON TWIN CITIES YOUTH!!!

Tragedy has stricken my humble life. While grocery shopping at the Wedge Co-op this past Sunday I was horrified to discover that Wedge would no longer be stocking my favorite peanut butter, "Real Brand." In fact no grocery stores will be stocking this particular brand because its producer, ConAgra Foods, has ceased to produce it! This explains why the last time I went shopping all I could find was the crunchy variety (I prefer smooth but crunchy will do in a pinch). I will have to find some contact information for ConAgra and give them a piece of my mind as I feel that they are making a huge mistake discontinuing their delicious peanut butter.  But there is probably nothing that I can do to get them to resume its production, its not like I could start one of those facebook groups akin to when some dumb ass bets their stupid bro roommate that they'll marry a goat if their group gets 1,000,000 members. I have in fact already begun my search for a new variety of peanut butter. I purchased Mara Natha peanut butter at the co-op (the brand that Tuesday gets) and my mother has purchase Parker peanut butter (produced right in Coon Rapids Minnesota). I prefer the latter of the two, it sticks to the roof of one's mouth better as well as tasting good. Its a really unfortunate turn of events because once most major peanut butter brands begun adding more sugar to their products I had to abandon the old peanut butters that I ate and when I found "Real" that my searching was over. Alas I must now wander the waste land of not having a peanut butter to call my own.

THE RETURN OF THE BEAT PUBLISHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

For my 2D foundation final project I have decide to make a book about Terki Stx created by Alex Klein and myself. It will be called "The Beat Publisha; The Ballad of Terki Stx." I will contain illustrations of Terki and what he does; eating 45s/small children, being a DJ, etc. It will also contain some sort of textual element maybe just prose or possibly a long poem that I could later turn into a country western ballad. Copies of "The Beat Publisha; The Ballad of Terki Stx" will be on sale when it is done for an undetermined price. Its gunna be KICK ASS!!!!!!

OH BLOODY 'ELL!!!

This is an illustration of of old British gentleman for my T-shirt assignment for 2D foundation. Recently upon actually reading the specifics of the project I discovered that I am actually using 9 different colors (including black/white and not including the background) where I was only supposed to use 5 (not including the background color) I figured I should post this image here before I have to change all the hard work I have done so far. So enjoy, WOT WOT!!!

Costco Rocks

Salutations Citizens! Several weekends ago I was taken to Costco, one of the most wonderful monuments of modern American capitalism I have ever seen, where I ironically bought Italian goods. They have cases of San Pellegrino (12 to a box) for approx. 12 bucks. I want a membership just for this! This keep my self pleasantly Europeanized. Let the bubbly flow!!!

Sitcom Idea

Greetings Citizens! I was recently listening to Jacob's Ladder by the Monochrome Set today and it jogged my memory about a sitcom concept I created. The show would be called Jacob's Ladder and the song would be the theme song for the show. The intro/theme song would be the main characters messing about in a field or park somewhere, slightly sped up, set to the music. I have envisioned it as a early 90s Nickelodeon type show along the lines of Pete and Pete for example. The show itself would center around Jacob a 12 year old boy (at the start of the series, of course he would age) and his journey through adolescence. The title; "Jacob's Ladder" serves multiple purpose, on one hand it represents Jacob's journey, his challenges, hardships, triumphs, etc. It also is a religious tie in. Jacob comes from a religious but progressive Jewish family, the show would have tie-ins of various Jewish teachings and traditions, for example there would be a multiple episode story arch about Jacob's Bar Mitzvah and also various episode centering around Jewish holidays and key teachings. The show its self would not be the conveyance for religious messages but rather just a part of Jacob's life and back ground.

P.S. I must say that I find the fact that I (raised Roman Catholic) came up with this show quite amusing.

Hello citizens!

This is my inaugural (we)blog posting. I wonder what wonderful things I will rant on and on about in the coming weeks, months, years, decades, etc. Hopefully I will not become as addicted this this as I am to Facebook (god bless it) but only time will tell!
